چکیده

Abstract This study investigates the measurement invariance of a brief self-report measure childhood social-emotional competencies, Middle Childhood Survey: Social-Emotional Learning (MCS-SEL), across demographic subgroups. Invariance was tested simultaneously among subgroups children aged 11–12 years that were differentiated by sex (male, female) and main language spoken at home (English, not English). Multi-group confirmatory factor analysis evaluated structural item-level using two random, independent samples 2,000 students (500 per strata) selected disproportionate sampling from New South Wales Child Development Study (NSW-CDS) population cohort. The achieved full configural, metric, scalar, residual all subgroups, validating its utility for assessing middle competencies population-level.

To study the psychometric properties of the Childhood Trauma Questionnaire-Short Form (CTQ-SF), we determined its dimensional structure, measurement invariance across presence of emotional disorders, the association of the CTQ-SF with an analogous interview-based measure (CTI) across presence of emotional disorders, and the incremental value of combining both instruments in determining associat...

Dimensional structure and measurement invariance of the youth self-report across gender and age.

PURPOSE The aim of the present work was to examine the correlated eight-syndrome model of the Youth Self-Report (YSR) proposed by Ivanova et al [1], using a confirmatory factor analysis for ordinal data. Likewise, we explored the measurement invariance of the YSR across gender and age using multigroup comparisons, and checked whether there were differences in the latent means. METHODS The sam...
